LET'S GO TO JEJU! 제주도로 가자!

During our three weeks holiday I went with some friends (Hugo, July and Edwin) to Jeju Island, Korea's biggest island. It's located a little bit more south from the big peninsula and it takes about one hour and half by plane to get there. We all have heared so many good things about Jeju, and were so ready to discover it all by ourselves.

Jeju trully is a beautiful island. We only hoped that the weather would have been a little warmer. ;) We conquered mount Hallasan, after an eight hours long hike through the snow. The painful and cold feet were all worth the panoramic view on the top!

Jeju is well-known for its famous 귤 (tangarines, mandarines), 아주머니's (middle-aged or old women diving for seafood without oxygen), and the nice scenic landscapes. The island is not that big, but you can spend a whole week visiting stuff without getting bored. We stayed in two totally different but both nice guesthouses. During our stay we've visited many cultural sites such as the Teddy Bear museum (with world's most expensive Teddy Bear, dressed up with a Louis Vuitton outfit), the chocolate museum (with really funny Korenglish explanations), the Lava-Tube (a more than 1 kilometers long tunnel created by a stream of lava), some little volcano hills, 우도 (Udo, a smaller island on the east side of Jeju main island), Jeju Mystic Road (a road where your car goes downhill in neutral while the road goes up! ;)) and some other interesting places.

It was a good idea to take a break and do some sightseeing. I'm now in level 3 at the Korean language school, and it's not getting easier!

Pictures tell more than words, so if you have time to have a look... Here you go!
